Colorado Sports Action Fun This Year

Colorado Springs residents have really good choices for pro sports teams, with the big Denver venues only 1 hour away. In addition, the Air Force Academy is here with particularly interesting football and basketball programs, and Colorado College is almost always in national contention in hockey.

This weekend was an exciting one, with Air Force beating BYU in football, a perennial rival, 35-14. In addition, the 1st week of NFL action is behind us, and while the Denver Broncos  lost to Jacksonville 24-17, they put on a bit of a show. They even let Tim Tebow play a little! The Colorado Rockies  are making for some excitement this fall again as well, with a 10 game win streak and only 1 1/2 games out of 1st, with the San Diego Padres coming to town for what looks like a showdown for the National League West at Coors field this week. With temperatures in the mid 80’s all week, it will be more like summer than fall, perfect baseball weather.
