A Tale of Two Markets: A 6-Month Update

Inventory conditions in the real estate market has been a popular topic for a while now. I wanted to share an article that highlights the demand for homes in the starter and trade-up home categories in stark contrast to the surplus of homes in the luxury category – a tale of two markets.

The article points out that inventory conditions are still struggling, especially due to the natural disasters as of late. According to the National Association of Realtors Latest Existing Home Sales Report, the national inventory of existing homes for sale in today’s market is at a 4.2-month supply. Here in Colorado Springs it’s even lower, with less than a 2-month supply of homes all year.
