Widefield School District 3 covers the southern end of town, including the areas of Security, Widefield and northern portions of Fountain. Located due east of Fort Carson, it has a heavy military and retired military residence base. Widefield School District Map. Housing in District 3 is some of the more affordable in the Colorado Springs area, with the average home price for 2009 at $159,162
