Cañon City Music & Blossom Festival

May 4-8

The Cañon City Blossom Festival is four days full of a variety of events and fun featuring music, rodeo, 5K run and much more! The festival is the city’s largest and continues to grow in popularity every year. The Blossom Festival provides nationally recognized competitions for elementary, junior high and high school bands in marching, jazz band, and orchestral music. A two-hour parade on Saturday through downtown Cañon City provides a great time for everyone. The carnival, craft fairs, rodeo, free concerts and other community events fill the weekend with fun.

Colorado Pet Expo & Conference

Tickets are $8-$12. Children under 12 are free.

The Colorado Pet Expo & Conference features 165+ top pet exhibitors and speakers from across the state, along with lots of events, competitions, and Q&As for animal lovers. The show will also host non-stop events throughout the weekend: including pet demonstrations, training seminars, adoptions, discount vaccines, animal education and much more!

7th Annual Pikes Peak Birding and Nature Festival

Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour at one of America’s most highly-regarded zoos! You can learn about Flammulated Owl research at the Manitou Experimental Forest, hone your skills at a photography workshop, expand your artistic side in a nature sketching workshop, learn about banding hummingbirds, and learn to identify the common raptors of the Pikes Peak region.

On Saturday evening, join us for the very popular “Birds and Brews” happy hour with free appetizers, drinks, and beer from Phantom Canyon Brewery. You can also visit live creatures presented by the Pikes Peak Community College Wild Things, enjoy music, and share stories with other participants. There will be door prizes and a silent auction.

13th Annual MeadowGrass Music Festival

MeadowGrass Music Festival is the premiere music festival to kick off summer in the Pikes Peak region. MeadowGrass is known for attracting up-and-coming talent from the region and all over the world. Besides the amazing musicians, we have activities for kids, workshops, yoga, late-night shows, ropes course, and archery range. This year brings our 4th Annual MeadowGrass Beer.

Held Memorial Day Weekend in Old Colorado City! The historic district on CO Avenue will come alive with live music, food, and fun for the entire family. One of the state’s largest craft vendor fairs is highlighted with features including gold panning, mechanical bull, kids play area, Cowboy Church Service, toy train rides, live blacksmithing, period costumed characters, live birds of prey, native American dancers, beer gardens with live music, and so much more!
