Welcome to Living Colorado Springs!
March has arrived, our snowiest month in most years. The home buying and selling season has come with it. While we had only 2,443 single family homes for sale as of March 1 in our area (23.5% below last years inventory!), interest rates are phenomenal. With 30 year fixed interest rates in the upper 3’s to low 4’s, it makes this one of the most affordable times in history to own part of one of the most beautiful cities in the United States!
Check out Colorado Springs Real Estate Market Conditions as of March 1.
February was another amazingly good month for Colorado Springs real estate. Sales were up 25.1% over last year, and the inventory of unsold homes is now a 3.4 month supply of homes for sale, meaning we are definitely seeing shortages appearing in certain segments.
In February, the median price (1/2 the homes sold for more) was $225,000 (up 14.8%), and the mean (average) was $248,844, up 8.5%.
