Winter is in full swing, with lots of snow in the mountains. But along the front range and here in Colorado Springs, January and February are our driest months, and the weather fluctuates from mild (50′s) and breezy, to snow and cold, and back again.
This is a GREAT time to buy a home in Colorado Springs, with 3,225 single family homes for sale in our area (a 10 year low), and 30 year fixed interest rates in the upper 3′s and low 4′s! We have updated Colorado Springs Real Estate Market Conditions as of January 2. December home sales were UP 3.5% from last year! Prices are still soft, but with the inventory of unsold homes falling, and the rate of sales rising, prices should begin to see some recovery.
