Welcome to Living Colorado Springs!
We’ve had a marvelous fall here in Colorado Springs, with above average temperatures and below average precipitation. The colors have been amazing, although the trees have lost most of their leaves now. It is also a wonderful time for home buying and selling, and with just over 3,500 single family homes for sale as of November 1 in our area, the selection is great, although 9.3% below last years inventory. We also have 30 year fixed interest rates in the upper 3’s to low 4’s, making this one of the most affordable times in history to own part of one of the most beautiful cities in the United States!
Check out Colorado Springs Real Estate Market Conditions as of October 1.
October was a good month for Colorado Springs real estate. Sales were up 4.6% over last year, and the inventory of unsold homes is still under a 4 month supply of homes for sale, meaning a rather balanced market, with shortages beginning to appear in certain segments.
In October, the median price (1/2 the homes sold for more) was $224,900 (up 3.2%), and the mean (average) was $256,679, up 3.6%.
