Colorado Springs Beats Denver in Job Market Outlook, according to The Gazette
According to the Gazette, Colorado Springs outranks Denver for hottest job market in the 3rd quarter.
Colorado Springs ranked just ahead of Denver and five other cities at 28% but behind Charlotte, N.C.; Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Madison, Wis., which had the top three spots among the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas.
Unemployment remains low in the Springs, at around 3.9%. Right now, many employers are reporting expansions in hiring, while only 4% of employers are reporting reductions. This is great news for not only job-seekers, but homeowners as well. A booming job market makes for an attractive place to live!
Rises in home prices can be tied to the desirability of Colorado Springs. With so many people moving here, there is a shortage of homes available.
