Colorado State Fair — Open August 24, 2018 – September 3, 2018
The Colorado State Fair is a large event that includes carnival rides, concerts, food, monster trucks, demolition derbies, rodeos, and livestock/horse shows. There is something for everyone! Special appearances by The Oakridge Boys, Josh Gracin, Larry the Cable Guy, Neal McCoy, Old Dominion, and many more!

Labor Day Lift Off — September 1, 2018 – September 3, 2018
This unique (and free!) event allows guests to watch as over 60 hot air balloons ascend into the sky! You can even choose to take a hot air balloon ride! There are food and drink vendors to enjoy while watching the show. Additionally, there will be skydiving demonstrations, wakeboarding exhibitions, paddle boarding, live entertainment, chainsaw carving and donut eating competitions. At dusk, the balloons will glow and light up the Colorado Springs skyline!

Royal 50 Mountain Bike race — September 22, 2018
This epic bike ride takes place on the Royal Gorge mountain bike trails in Cañon City. This race is specifically designed for the advanced mountain biker. (pre-registration is required) The race consists of a 50 mile course with elevation gains of over 7,200 feet! After this adventurous race, enjoy some BBQ, a beer (one is included with the race), and admission to the Royal Gorge Bridge.

Gallop in the Garden Free 5k Fun run — Every Thursday
This fun run is located at Garden of the Gods. You can walk or run– all ages welcome! There is a stroller route and dogs are permitted on a leash. This event is held every Thursday! There are 3 routes available.

Monument Movie Nights — August 24, 2018
This free event occurs during the summer months at Jackson Creek at the Monument Marketplace Clocktower. The last movie of the summer, “Remember the Titans”, is on August 24, 2018. Event starts around 7:00 pm and the movie begins at dark. This fun, family event that is something everyone will enjoy!

Sky Sox Jurassic Park Day– September 1, 2018
The Sky Sox are a local favorite minor league baseball team. This game is against the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Saturday, September 1, 2018. The game is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and is dinosaur themed so dress in your favorite dino attire! After the game, there will be a fireworks show! Tickets start at $15.

Cruise Above the Clouds Car Show — September 8 & 9, 2018
This event is for the car lovers! An array of classic, vintage, and custom cars will be available for viewing! It will be held on September 8 and 9th. The show will start in Cripple Creek with a poker run ending in Woodland Park. Come out and enjoy food, a DJ, and fancy cars!

Night of White Lights — September 8, 2018
The 3rd annual Night of White Lights festival will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 6:30-8:30 pm. The location will be revealed the morning of the event. Enjoy a picnic in all-white attire underneath white lights while listening to the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony. You can bring your own picnic or purchase a catered basket.

Rocky Mountain Food Tour — Every Saturday & Sunday
Food lovers will certainly enjoy this event in downtown Colorado Springs! This is a great choice for a date night or even just to experience new eats! Tours take place every Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Tour guests will enjoy the tastes of five delicious restaurants within walking distance of each other (within ½ mile). To encourage friendly conversation, tour groups are limited to 14 people. Also available is an option to add alcohol pairings at 4 of the locations! Tickets are $59 per person.

Holly Berry Folk Art Festival — September 14-16, 2018
Calling all Art enthusiasts! This festival, located at Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site in Garden of the Gods, boasts over 165 artisans from across the United States! Here you can find fine arts and crafts, collectibles, and antiques. Food and music are also a staple at this festival. Adult tickets are $6, Seniors are $5, and children (6-12 years) are $2. Come out and support local artists and small businesses!
