Colorado Will Have A New Governor

Current democratic governor Bill Ritter’s decision not to run for re-election means Colorado will have a new governor. He has not been very popular, especially not in Colorado Springs, and not just because he isn’t a republican. Ritter’s policies have been pretty lopsided against job growth (he wouldn’t tell it that way), and put a real wet blanket on Colorado’s oil industry.

Mike Shanahan, former head coach of the Broncos has finally taken a new job, in Washington. The Redskins could sure use the help, and I for one am glad to see him land on his feet. He did a good job here, and although it was probably time for a change, many still miss him here.
