Getting Back To Normal After a Cold Snap

We just had our 3rd subzero cold snap this winter. I use the word ‘cold snap’ because for those of us who live in Colorado Springs, these things are usually over in a snap. It was below zero for a couple of nights this week, but we’ll be in the 50’s by tomorrow. This kind of back and forth is not uncommon for Colorado Springs weather, or for that matter, a lot of the front range of Colorado.
I’m no meteorologist, but they tell me it’s a combination to being so close to the mountains, being in the center of the continent, and being as far south as we are, but we’ll see these kinds of fluctuations all winter long. I’m just glad we’ll be warm again soon!
