Updated List of Openings and Closings
Here is an updated list of openings and closings for businesses in Colorado Springs as of Mary 27th.
Here’s what has not changed
Critical businesses, including grocery stores, will continue to have strict precautions in place; vulnerable populations and older adults must stay home except for when absolutely necessary; and group gatherings of 10 or more are still not allowed. Gyms will remain closed.
As of May 4
The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder Motor Vehicle and Driver’s License office will be open by appointment-only at three locations. The North Union Town Center branch and Southeast Powers branch will offer Saturday office hours by appointment only. Read more here.
Also, for nonessential workplaces, up to 50 percent of staff can return to work in person, with social distancing in place. Telecommuting is still strongly encouraged, especially for vulnerable workers.
A number of other businesses have closed or adjusted their hours to allow more time for employees to stock shelves and clean. Others have created special shopping time for seniors. (See a list of those stores offering senior shopping hours here.)
